Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description:

• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - SLP will be required to travel between multiple sites (Long Beach, Orange, Buena Park, Chino Hills, Riverside, Hemet, Ridgecrest)
• IN-PERSON | Travel: up to 25%
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 35 to 40 hours per week
• Contract follows the academic district calendar

Salary:

• $65-$85/hr.
• Total on 40 hours: $2,600-$3,400 paid WEEKLY
• Travel and Hotel expense reimbursement
• Weekly direct deposit every Friday
• Benefits Available including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or a similar program.
• Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure in the State of California.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
• Experience in a school and/or pediatric setting preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different schools within the Los Angeles area, as needed.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Position Overview: Provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills.

Essential Functions:

• Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success.
• Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports.
• Supervise support staff, consult with educators, and provide alternative communication systems.
• Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Explore individual learning needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement curriculum goals.
• Model mature behavior, uphold values, and encourage character development.
